The Long Range Mountains reach the Gulf of St. Lawrence at the head of Bonne Bay. The receding tide reveals sorted cobblestones giving way to large boulders that trap water in hollows. Across the mouth of the bay, a snow capped tableland plateau rises above the coastal greenery of the aptly named Green Gardens.
